PATH Torbay was started by a lady called Kath and her daughter Zoe driving around Torbay on outreach, giving out hot drinks and sandwiches to homeless people on the streets.  This proved to be a great asset to the homeless people and since the early days PATH has changed to suit the changes in Torbay. Over time other useful items were added to the growing list of things homeless people required. The nightly outreach service carried on until March 2020 when under guidelines set out by the Government due to the pandemic it was stopped. It may be able to resume in the future but for now it isn't possible to run it.    

   PATH Torbay started running a homeless night off at a community centre in Paignton once a week until 2016.  This evening was run in conjunction with the ongoing outreach services.  And in 2016 PATH Torbay started running two evenings per week from Roebuck House in Torquay. This proved to be very popular with the homeless people and gradually PATH  grew into the great charity it is today.  With local support PATH Torbay moved to two temporary addresses, one in Abbey Road Torquay, and at Central Church in Torquay.  Central Church would be the last temporary home for PATH. PATH was able to start running it's own foodbank from donations from shops around Torbay.

   PATH Torbay is now based at a former restaurant called The Vanilla Pod,  172 Union Street , Torquay.  PATH Torbay now open 5 days a week between 1.pm and 6.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 3.pm to 6.pm Saturday.  Giving out packed lunches and hot take away meals when available. And after joining The Torbay Food Alliance, also PATH started running a very busy food bank, to assist those that fall on hard times for what ever reason.  The volunteers work extremely hard to help those in need.
